FALCON RIDGE FOLK FESTIVAL 2026
THE 38th ANNUAL FALCON RIDGE – July 24, 25 & 26 – Goshen CT
The 38th Annual Falcon Ridge Folk Festival takes flight once again with three days of music, dance, community, and overflowing goodwill, July 24–26, 2026, at the Goshen Fairgrounds in Goshen, Connecticut.
With Mainstage concerts, workshops with performers, dancing day and night, and a livestream option, the festival returns in full bloom. Early camping opens Wednesday, July 22. Dancing is back in full force with all-day and late-night opportunities, including Contra & Square Dance, Cajun & Zydeco, Swing, Blues, Family and Community Dancing, and the addition of Line Dancing. The pre-festival Thursday Farm Market and Staff Open Mic also return. More than 40 performers will appear across five stages.
Festival favorites returning this year include the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, Nerissa & Katryna Nields, Susan Werner, Vance Gilbert, The Gaslight Tinkers, Joe Jencks, Sam Robbins, and Family Stage favorites The Storycrafters. Joining them are two-time Grammy-winning Americana pioneer Jim Lauderdale; the sublime harmonies of Alice Howe & Freebo; and virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Tony Furtado and his quartet, blending progressive bluegrass, blues, jazz, and folk. Making their Falcon Ridge debuts are Brooklyn-based Damn Tall Buildings, Boston’s Cold Chocolate, and The Star Charters. The Mainstage closes Sunday with the fiery fiddle of Eileen Ivers & The Brigideens, featuring members of Riverdance fame.
The joyful gathering kicks off Friday, July 24 at noon with the festival’s signature Grassy Hill Emerging Artist Showcase. The Activities 4 Kids Area, Family Stage, Workshop Stage, Dance Barn, and Acoustic Circle of Song all begin Friday afternoon. Evening Mainstage performances and nightly dancing follow, while campground jams and song circles keep the music going after hours. The festival is fully accessible and ASL interpreted. All stages conclude by 6:00 PM on Sunday.
Food lovers can enjoy Jamaican, Thai, Latin, and classic American fare, along with plentiful vegetarian and vegan options. Festivalgoers can also browse a vibrant marketplace featuring international artisans offering Peruvian, Kenyan, and Tibetan handicrafts, pottery, clothing, batik, tie-dye, stained glass, and other handmade, upcycled, and Fair Trade goods, with an emphasis on eco-friendly products.
